His years of teaching at Madras Medical College marks more than a decade and his experiences have helped translate his fine work into our institution that is inimitable. His patient and untiring service in our hospital still continues and has helped build the hospital to what it is today. Prof. Soundarapandian’s personality has a major influence in shaping the organizational culture, which is informed by his core value of simplicity, ethics and commitment.

Dr. Sivamurugan, Director of Soundarapandian Bone and Joint Hospital, has followed his esteemed fathers footsteps into the line of Orthopedics. Apart from his premier education at Madras Medical College, Dr Sivamurugan has also attained special skills and knowledge from Nuffield Orthopedic Center in Oxford, UK. Dr.SM, as he is fondly called by at the hospital, has forged his own path and followed his passion to specialize in Joint Replacement Surgery. He is currently a pioneer in the field of joint replacements in all of India. His tireless perception, innovation and ideas have taken the institution to one that is technologically savvy while rooted to its culture, which is simplicity and commitment.

Dr. Ravi Subramaniam, Director of Soundarapandian Bone and Joint Hospital, inspired by his father and brother has secured an identity for himself in the field of Orthopedics. Apart from his education and experience at Madras Medical College and Nuffield Orthopedic Center, he has also been trained in the AO International Fellowship at Salzburg, Austria. Dr.Ravi is a trailblazer in the field of Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine and is the mastermind behind the Mini Day Care Surgery Center at the Hospital. He has also introduced the minimally invasive surgical techniques to help our patients attain the best recovery with minimal trauma to the tissues.

Dr.M.Saravanan is an Arthroscopy and Trauma Surgeon, who specializes in the treatment of complex fractures & dislocations around shoulder and knee. Trained in ultrasound guided shoulder injections, his focus is in the management of shoulder & knee pain.

Dr.L.Bharath has extensive experience in the field of Knee and Hip Arthroplasty performing over 4500 Hips and Knee replacement surgeries in the past with a phenomenal success rate. He has received training in the past from USA and UK and is on his way to becoming a top Knee and Hip Surgeon in the city.

Dr. Yogesh Kumar B is a dedicated Spine Surgeon for Soundarapandian Bone and Joint Hospital, Anna Nagar, Chennai. He completed his MS Orthopedics at KMC Manipal. He then pursued his career in spine surgery by completing Clinical Spine Fellowship for 2 years at Manipal Hospital, Bangalore. He got training in Microscopic Spine surgeries, Day care spine surgeries, Interventional Pain Management and Complex Revision Spine Surgeries as well at Manipal Hospital. He got trained in minimally invasive spine surgery in AO spine Asia Pacific Spine fellowship at Park Neuroscience Institute, Kolkata. He further went on to do the prestigious clinical fellowship in Pediatric spinal deformity (Scoliosis and Kyphosis) at dupont Hospital and Shriners Children’s Hospital, USA. He has visited Texas Scottish rite hospital for children, the center of excellence in scoliosis spine surgery in Dallas, USA. He has practiced safe spine surgery for the last 4 years. He has performed more than 450 spinal surgeries independently in this time frame successfully.

Dr.Ram is a well trained trauma surgeon who has completed his trauma fellowship in 2017 in Seoul, Korea at a prominent centre. He is an expert at dealing with complex fracture management, Periarticular fracture management and Pelvi acetabular surgery to name a few. Dr.Ram is a bright new asset at Soundarapandian Bone and Joint Hospital and is marching ahead to create new techniques, protocols and research in the field of Traumatology.

Dr.Suranjana has completed her Orthopedic Training at Amrita Institute of Medical Science in Kochi, India. She is the bright young star of SBJH and is slowly following her father-Director, Dr.Ravi Subramaniam's- footsteps into become a prominent Arthroscopy and Trauma specialist.

Dr. Ramkumar Ponraj has specialized in Trauma and Joint Replacement Surgery with the expertise of handling over a 1000 trauma, spine surgeries and over 300 Joint Replacement surgeries, within a short span of 3 years. He had also completed training in managing complex primary hip and knee arthroplasties from the reputed Depuy synthes institute. Having an ardent eye for knowledge, he is an active participant at all the state and national conferences.

Dr. Ganesh Sivamurugan has been an invaluable asset to Soundarapandian Bone and Joint Hospital since his joining in 2018 to be a part of a dynamic and result oriented team.

He has completed a one-year Fellowship at IOWA University Hospital, USA, a level 1 Trauma Centre and University Teaching Hospital.

He is specialized in Advanced Fracture Treatment, Young Adult Hip Problems such as Hip Dysplasia and Athletic injuries of the Hip Joint, Total Hip Replacement and Hip Arthroscopic Surgery.

He is a quick learner with proactive attitude and good team Spirit.

Dr.R.P.M.Gowthama Raj M.B.B.S., DA is a consultant Anesthesiologist and Medical Officer in-charge- Accident and Emergency Medicine with more than three decades of experience in Management of Intensive Care Units with CTLS and ACLS training.

He has immense experience in Cardio Pulmonary resuscitation, Ventilator Management and Poly Trauma Management

Dr. Arulmolidevi Sam graduated from Madurai Medical College in 1984 and completed Anesthesiology in 1988. She has worked as a free lance Anesthesiologist in India and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She has been working at Soundarapandian Bone and Joint Hospital since 2011 as an Intensivist, providing advanced training to staff and treating critically ill patients with complex comorbidities in the ICU.
